Quite frankly, if FSU was winning by 20+ points every single game (including against those teams + ACC teams like Clemson/Miami), I don't think there would be such attention to the schedule. Its only that the team struggled against a perceived weaker schedule that it became an issue.

 

No, what is FSU's fault is that they are in the SEC.  They knew from the moment they signed with the ACC it was going to be a weak conference.  Their thought process is that beating up on weak teams and having a higher chance of going undefeated was their ticket to national titles.  It worked back then, but times are catching up and playing a tough schedule is much more important.  Ask TCU, ask Baylor.
