As of now, CBS Sports has 11 backs with third round grades or better. It should be a great time for the team to improve this position in the second night of the draft.

 

Denard Robinson has shown to be a capable back in this league. But he has not shown he is capable of getting those tough yards, nor was he expected to do so. So I think they will look to add a back with size.

I disagree that Denard hasn't shown to get tough yards. He's gotten plenty of tough yards this season, especially given how bad this OL has been. He doesn't shed a lot of blocks, but what he does do is he seems to have the ability to angle his body so the defense doesn't always get a clean hit on him, allowing him to squeeze in and pick up an extra 1-2 yards.

 

I'm not handing him the starting job next season (though he'll have inside track), but I really don't want to spend a pick on a RB until 3rd or 4th round at the earliest.
