Is Taking Mariota Really Off The Table?

At this point, I'll be happy if Caldwell makes a decision he is sure of and is able to live with. If he comes across as confused or beaten like Gene Smith did when he drafted Alualu (obviously fell in love and couldn't trade back) at 10 or Bryan freaking Anger (I sincerely hope they replace him btw, dude can't coffin corner a punt to save his life), then I will be happy.
Everything is a crap shoot. Everything. If Caldwell takes Mariota and he's confident about it and it works, I'll love the guy. If it blows up, at least I can respect him for trying. Gene Smith forced everything. Just make a plan, stick to it, and live or die by it. |
