Quote:I disagree. If you're a fan who doesn't attend games then W/L record doesn't mean anything without playoff games. But for those who spend a ton of money going to the games, 8 hours of Sunday, and numerous minutes preparing tailgate food, then winning on Sunday is important to us. It just feels good to not be the laughing stock of the league. This is a darn good point and probably the only real answer to the question, "give me a reason why winning Thursday would be better than losing" Let's face it, this season is lost. And as we have seen from last year, with this coaching staff, winning at the end of the year means nothing in terms of "momentum" into next year. So the only real reason to root for a win is if you are one of the fans that are actually having to sit through the game at the stadium. |
