This idea that "Bortles just needs to get the ball out quicker" is total non sense.  If everything is a quick throw, you aren't going to get anywhere as an offense.  I'd also advise you to watch the actual good QBs in this league (Romo, Rodgers, Brady) and see how a pocket forms around them, giving them time to scan the field when the first read isn't there.  In fact, what Bortles does best is improvise.  So telling him to be "quick-throw Joe Quarterback" is telling him to be something he isn't.

 

Telling Bortles to "get the ball out" and this is his fault for getting hit almost every play is like telling him to throw his first read or throw it away.  Yes, that's a great recipe for success.
