I think that what you mentioned is a major part of the equation.

 

Sam Farmer,  the LA Times football writer,  who is on top of the NFL situation with LA as much as anyone,   now believes that it's unlikely that the NFL will have even one team in LA for the 2015 season.  Basically,  Farmer mentioned that he believes Chargers owner Dean Spanos wouldn't have given up the potential 2015 LA option,  if he thought it was still viable.
