Conventional wisdom says you draft your franchise QB, and stick with him for at least two years while you wait for him to develop.  But this franchise has been foundering for six years.  We all hope and pray that Bortles develops into a top tier QB, but what if he doesn't?  Does the franchise draft another QB, and stink while they wait another two years to prove himself?

 

Mariota and Winston both have their problems (Winston's being more off the field than on it), but they also have tremendous upsides.  If Bortles doesn't develop the way you'd hoped, you've got one of them waiting in the wings.  You don't have to wait until the next draft to get a QB.   And if Bortles does take off, you can trade Mariota/Winston for a first round draft pick.

 

I know a lot of people want us to draft a great DE.  But we can always get a great DE in the second round or in FA.  How many great QBs are out there?
