The frustrating thing about Cyp, prior to the Ravens game is this:
Yes, he makes a ton of tackles and he's a big part of our D. But (again, prior to the Raven's game) he'd overshoot a ball carrier which would result in a huge gain... His bad angles on occassion (I would say once a game prior to the Raven's game) would cost us 1 or 2 big plays each week. I believe this issue can be corrected, but to ignore it would be intellectually dishonest... I like our D, and I still think Cyp is gonna be a big part of it moving into 2015. But he's gotta get better at his pursuit. Sunday was a good game for him, there's no doubt. I just want to see that be the norm, not an outlier. |
