I saw this multiple times. It looks like if BB5 doesn't see his first read, he's out of there...  Which I don't blame him on.  That O-line is trash.  Seriously, Young practically go BB5 killed out there.  

 

I've noticed this too. I'm fine with him doing it this year to save himself (because this o-line could legit get a player killed from internal bleeding if he tried to stay in the pocket all game), but I'm worried about how this plays out next year. Will Bortles be able to trust any o-line after this season? Or is he doomed to be a 1-read-and-run-for-his-life QB like Gabbert was by his 3rd year here?

 

Now, that's not to say I think Bortles is going to be a bust or anything crazy like that. I think he has shown a nice amount of progression this year and I'm happy with where he's at now, considering where he came from. I think his decision making in terms of his passes are better, as are his decisions as to when to scramble vs. forcing a pass. I'm just worried (as I have been all year) about that pesky internal clock that all QB's need to manage and the effect this useless offensive line will have on it moving forward. :confused:
