All I know is 38 TDs is no joke.

 

Right. Seems like he's recognizing that he's good but not yet at the level he's being pumped up as.

 

As for his stats, I don't really care about them. It was already clear when he was a rookie and his stats were mediocre that he was a great player and better prospect.

 

However, his stats at this point are also deceiving.

 

This season in the AFCS he's thrown something like 14 TDs to only 3 INTs. Most of his INTs come outside of the AFCS against quality opponents.

 

In fact, against quality out of division opponents he's been really mediocre. Against quality opponents (Den, Phi, Bal, Cin, Pit, NE, Cle, Dal) he's thrown 15 TDs to 12 INTs.

 

Most of his stats come running up the score against inferior competition.

 

He's the definition of paper tiger at this point, and will likely lose in a blowout to one of the elite teams in the playoffs again.
