The top priorities are obvious: right tackle, free safety, and backup offensive lineman. How to get them is another matter.
I would love to sign Bryan Bulaga in FA and draft a right tackle to be his backup. Why keep Austin Pasztor if we can find a rookie with a higher ceiling? If we miss out on the Bulaga sweepstakes, I want to get the right tackle in an early round. If we can get the opposite of Landin Collins - a natural free safety who is also good at strong safety - I would be a happy Jaguars fan. But versitility is more important for backups. For the starting job, I want a guy who only played free safety. Speaking of versitility, why should we get a backup center who never played guard or a backup guard who never played center? If a draft prospect is good at both center and guard, I would love to have him for OL Jacques McClendon's job. |
