Aside from Nick Saban, nobody in the country can touch his resume since he took over.
The point was that he was there before he 'officially' took over for several years. You can't just say those years didn't count. He had full reign.

 

Still theres no denying he did a great job recruiting. And that is definitely worth something at the college level.
