I don't get it. Every year we hear/read about teams waiting for assistant coaches to be eliminated from the playoffs because they are unavailable for interviews until that happens. That is why the Browns hired Mike Pettine - availability for team interviews. I even read that is the NFL rule years ago - no contact with assistant coaches in the playoffs about head coach jobs. When did this change?
