I was doing some reading on Trestman and found a clip of him talking about game planning. The #1 thing on his list offensively? No, it's not how to get your wide receivers open. It's not how to get the ball to your playmakers. Those were number 2 and below on his list.

I have no confirmation that Fisch thought differently, but it certainly didn't seem like it at times (Gerhart trying to block Watt? Seriously?). However, he did learn a lot from Spurrier...whose offense in the NFL weren't really known for protecting the QB.
