If someone overrates them, wouldn't they get drafted sooner rather than later? Regardless, it's not very often one falls. How many QBs can you name picked after the first round that have had NFL success (other than Tom Brady)? Teams know to succeed in this league you have to have a good QB.

Joe Montana and Russell Wilson were third round picks. Brett Favre, Drew Brees, Andy Dalton, and Colin Kaepernick were second round picks. Derek Carr is not the reason Oakland sucks, so I guess you could count him too.
