Let's be clear about JJ Watt
|
Watt channels his inner rick Flair.
http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-films-sound-efx/0ap3000000439196/Sound-FX-J-J-Watt Do not care if the guy wins MVP or not, he's the MVP in my eyes.. And the argument that he feasted against weak lines within the division is a stupid argument, he only took advantage of what was in front of him as did Justin Houston.. Doing that is the difference between having a 10 sack season and a 20+ sack season.. Not everybody does it. I don't care if the weak lines/match ups happen to come within division or not, every player faces them during a 16 game schedule.. Those who can capitalize on them while also taking advantage of the other teams with good lines are the special players and are the one's who separate themselves from the pack. And for the sack geeks who want to act like Justin Houston had a better year, because he finished with more sacks. Sacks are great, but you're more disruptive when you're always around the QB (reason why Watt forced so many turnovers and Houston's defense led in turnovers) QB disruptions (sacks, hits, and hurries) J.J. WATT 119 Justin Houston 84 That doesn't even get into the batted down passes, FFs, and FRs |
