Owner of St. Louis Rams plans to build NFL stadium in L.A.
|
Bill Bidwell only business was the football St. Louis Cardinals and when he moved the team to Phoenix he was guaranteed a $7 million profit regardless of his expenses. He always ran the team frugally and rarely had a winning team. His reason for leaving was not a lack of fan support, he wanted a new stadium rather than playing in Busch with scheduling around the baseball team. Those were different times, the city can't be blamed for losing that team.
It's true St. Louis is a baseball town first, but there is fan interest to support a franchise should Stan take the Rams to L.A. I expect there will be talk of St. Louis courting another team, possibly the Jags, should that happen. Regards......................the Chiefjag |
