You must be confusing me with someone else. My stance on tanking is simple and consistent. Any win while the team is out of contention that will cause fewer players to be available to draft when Dave is on the clock is statistically a bad thing for the future of the franchise. That is 100% congruent with logic. That doesn't mean that the players we miss out on are guaranteed to be the best players in the draft, or that Dave won't get whoever his top player happens to be regardless of that win, but the extremely easy concept to grasp is that a larger player pool for Dave to pick from is better than any size smaller of a player pool. 

 

And yes I definitely did say Teddy was easily the best player for us in the draft last year (which I think was and still is sound), and I said Geno was the best QB in a bad class two years ago...but I certainly never said to tank for either player.
