We need a nasty-tempered RT, a pass catching TE, and vast improvement from the young OL-men, WRs and QB.  And an OC who brings it all together quickly.  I see FA being used here if the players are available.  I don't think they will look for a RB or WR in FA.  I also think Chad Henne will be the backup QB in 2015.  With Fisch gone, Morris may not have a lock on the developmental QB spot if Caldwell sees somebody he likes better.

 

On D we have a solid core but need play makers and difference makers.  We need 3 or 4 more impact players on D.  A stud on the DL who draws double teams, a run and hit LB to pair with Telvin Smith on the outside, and a play-making FS who is always around the ball.  There are some nice pieces in place and under contract.  Now to take the next step that makes this a great defense that gives teams significant match-up problems and creates turnovers and points.  We saw flashes of that in 2014.  We need to see it a lot more in 2015.

 

I think with another solid offseason and a more favorable schedule, the 2015 Jags do have a shot at the playoffs.  There's still a lot of growing up to do, but the one thing about time is, it's relentless.  The clock keeps ticking and the young team will keep growing.
