Just a reminder that the National Champion lost to a 7-6 ACC team

I've just heard a lot of people complaining today about Ohio St and I just think they are going to have to get used to this. I agree with them in the sense that all year long nobody thought of Ohio St as one of the best teams, let alone the best. They lost early to an average team at home, fell in the rankings, and then slowly worked their way up as those ahead of them faltered. But didnt always looks good doing it as they struggled against a few average to poor teams. I think the majority of people out there were assuming they'd lose along the way... just as they assumed that for FSU. But this is the new reality of college football... especially when they expand the playoff to 8 teams. Just like the NFL routinely has low seeded teams win it all, you will absolutely see some slightly above average 3 or 4 loss team win a bad division, get hot at the right time, win their conference title game and then make a run through the playoffs. For better or for worse, that will be the new reality of college football and folks who dont like it will just have to get used to it.

Disagree with first paragraph. You can make an argument for too many teams even using large body of work. There is way too many disagreements. Also, Ohio State played a 3rd string QB and dominated the playoffs. Hard to argue against them being the best out of those 4 teams.

Every team struggled. Alabama struggled and lost to an ole miss team who was not as good as people thought. Easily could have lost to arkansas. Again, that is even a bigger argument for playoffs since there is more parity.
