Had the playoff been held way back in September when Ohio State lost to Va Tech then they would have not been invited as at that time they were not very good. They had an inexperienced offensive line and a QB making his 2nd start. Good thing for the Buckeyes that they play the championship game in January. That Ohio State that played last night does not remotely resemble the one that lost to Virginia Tech. THAT is the beauty of the playoffs. You can start the season young and inexperienced, slip up, then come together and grow as a team and find yourself playing your best football at the end of the season.

In one of the many interviews with Urban Meyer I saw where he stated the Buckeyes became a team in the overtime win against Penn State. From there they just kept getting better and from what I saw in the past month, the best "team" indeed did win it all.
