Now can we be realistic about Blackmon
|
Quote:Whenever someone talked about acquiring a player, one of his Ketchman's boilerplate responses was "picks, not players." Like anything else, it just depends on the situation. How many players have we had on our roster not worth trading (since 2001). Taylor, MJD, Mathis, Stroud, Henderson, and maybe a handful of others? Even then, it wouldn't take much to be worth more than the contributions of Mathis, Stroud, and Henderson. What's your definition of positive difference? We've had OK players, making what I would consider a positive difference, but definitely trade-able. If your team is successful, I wouldn't propose trading players for picks AS OFTEN. Since we haven't been, I don't see the problem with high turnover. |
