The seahawks do not strech the field vertically that often.  Its much more read option and realizes on Wilson escaping the pocket than you give it credit for. 

 

Again RGIII is playing tentative after major Knee surgery and anyone who follows the game knows it.  Look at the tape from last year.  He lit up defenses.

 

Kaepernick is playing on a team that has a huge lead the majority of the time.  They reel him in because there is no need to use him.  His only bad games this year, one against the best defense if not team in the NFL, Seattle.  The other against Indy when the 49ers faced a major distraction.  Again Kapernick is proof that the read option can and does work in the NFL.
