The difference is that we can at least be creative with Mariota, unlike Gabbert who isn't going to scare anyone when he gets out of the pocket. He also doesn't show the same type of panic in the pocket that Gabbert showed as Mizzou. However, I'd only want to pick him in the top 5 if they truly thought he could develop into a pocket passer long term.

 

I prefer Teddy, but would settle for Mariota if we don't pick #1.
