A friend of mine was subject to this because of the Healthcare law. Her hours were cut from 40 (full time employee) to 28 hours a week. Thankfully she was able to tell her employer to stuff it eventually, and quit the job that she already hated. It'd be better if it were based on total revenue by the companies, rather than by employee hours. Meaning small businesses that can't afford it, wouldn't have to in the first place.
