I keep hearing that in order for the Eagles to move up and take Mariota, they are going to have to give up the farm.

 

This is all based upon the Jimmy Johnson trade chart where

 

No. 3 = 2200 points

 

No. 20 = 850 points

No. 52 = 380 points

No. 84 = 170 points

 

Total = 1400 points

 

All this means is that the Eagles could give up their top 3 picks and that would not seem to be enough to make the deal fair to the Jags (much less the Titans)

 

So maybe the Eagles throw in their Rd 1 and Rd 2 picks in 2016.

 

Now a 2016 Rd 1 pick = a 2015 Rd 2 pick and a 2016 Rd 2 = a 2105 Rd 3

 

so adding these two picks creates 550 points added to the 1400 points = 1950 points

 

Bottom line is that Eagles are giving up 5 Top 100 players for 1 Top 3 Player.

 

When you look at 5:1 in anything, you usually take the deal.

 

It seems logical that the Jags would take the 5:1 deal and if the Jags would, then the Titans probably would too.

 

Now the question arises, whether the Jets, Bears or Rams want to play?

 

Who knows, maybe the Browns want to get in on the action too.

 

Accordingly it seems to me, that if the Titans really don't want the QB, then the lure of Trade Booty will be too much to pass up.
