In 2004 he became an OC for the first time and lead the Detroit Lions to the 24th ranked offense, followed that up in 2005 with the 28th ranked offense before being let go. in 2006 he was hired as the OC for the St Louis Rams and led them to the 10th ranked offense only to drop to the 28th ranked offense the year after. in 2008 he went on to become the OC in Tampa leading them to the 19th ranked offense in 2008, 30th in 2009, 20th in 2010 and 16th in 2011. After 2011 he came in to jacksonville as our QB Coach/asst headcoach and didn't really make much of an impact, left the following year to Oakland where he lead the Raiders to the 24th ranked offense in 2013 and the 31st ranked offense in 2014.
