Playing in the NFL is a privilege, not a right. If you want to smoke and drink and get arrested multiple times in the process go right ahead. But the NFL doesn't have to continue their employment with you while you're supporting your habits. To be honest I wish I could find me a job that would let me screw up 3 or more times, and still have an opportunity to come back.

They are making everything unnecessarily convoluted. You can drink. You can drive. You just can't do both and get arrested for it. That's as far as the NFL needs to go. How about letting law enforcement tell them how many "strikes" there are?

IMO, they'd be better off sticking with PEDs and banned substances. Let the actual law handle everything else.
