For the people that just want to NFL bash, could you imagine if he got into a wreck and killed someone?  The same people here would be complaining the NFL didnt do enough to help him out.

The NFL because of the collective bargaining agreement isn't very tough on the players in the substance abuse program.  Most corporations where you are using company resources (i.e. Driving a company vehicle), you are flat fired even before a DUI conviction.

 

Drunk driving is absolutely not acceptable and I can understand why he was put on a no alcohol list.  Honestly addiction is awful and I feel for these guys.  You don't have to be an NFL player to have it destroy your life.  When you get the snot beat out of you for a living, alcohol and pain killers are part of "the life".  It is sad very sad.

 

I hope the guy gets it straight for the family.
