The media didn't really cover it that much. But both times the Speaker was taking an opposing stance on foreign policy, I don't think this is anything new. You really have 2 America's now, the two parties are as much a separate representation of the same nation as it can get. That old saying a house divided won't stand should be a wake up call but it's not........
 

It seems like a natural occurrence for our country. Our culture, more and more, focuses on the divisive. Heck, look at reality TV. All that is advertised are people yelling and screaming and getting into one another's face.

 

It's even gotten into our editorial... er, News system where people consistently editorialize what is happening all to drive up ratings. We as Americans love a good fight, if there is no one to fight, we'll just fight with ourselves.
I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!
