McCain was all for arming the Syrian resistance and sending in support troops to take down Assad, that had nothing to do with whose in the White House. So you would've had ground troops and a heavier armed resistance in Syria (note that resistance after Assad didn't back down later became ISIS).

 

McCain was all for sending in ground troops and directly supporting the Ukraine government against Russian loyalist (that would've stuck us right in the middle of a civil war on Russia's border that would be bad anyway we slice it).

 

McCain was also for directly arming rebels in Libya and Egypt.

 

Obama is bad, McCain would've been just as bad if not worse.

 

note: that's why half of the GOP party including myself stayed home and just didn't participate in that election, there was no acceptable option.
