Regarding Gregory, unless you are totally blind to rating services across the internet then you must see that Gregory remains a Top 5 selection on almost every draft board. Contrary to his sack stats, it has been widely reported by scouts that Gregory made huge gains in his play from his Soph season to his Jr season with the use of his hands. Gregory suffered from some injuries this past season and it is clear he needs to get much stronger and bigger, but his ceiling is what is used to project his draft position and his ceiling may be higher than any one player in this draft class.

Watching him play this season, I just saw more of the same as last season.


Struggles to get off blocks (very badly)


Relies on athletic ability instead of technique.


Also seems to either give up or loaf on the play when it seems like its not going his way.



If I can see that, I'm sure scouts can too. Someone will probably grab him based on physical ability and potential and I'm sure there is a small chance he can become that great player but it doesn't sound like someone you take at 3 and it doesn't sound like someone that the jags can afford to mess with right now.


Also, like I said, it sounds like you're creating Dave's plan for him. Maybe Dave and Gus are content with branch in that role. We don't know any of this.
