I showed this thread to my wife, along with several other JW-heavy threads from the recent past. My wife has a Master's in Psychology and is currently a PhD candidate, and spent much of her time as an undergrad working in a lab that dealt with autistic children. Her immediate reaction was that JW seemed to be "trying too hard", her words, not mine, and that the symptoms JW kept pointing to were inconsistent with her attitude and mannerisms in the past. Asperger's, my wife reasoned, is something that causes you to not understand those around you, not something that causes you to post "***OFFICIAL***" threads about topics that are already being discussed ad nauseum elsewhere, then complain loudly when the lack of any reason for your thread to exist is pointed out. She even questioned whether someone with Asperger's would be comfortable participating in a message board to the extent and nature that JW does, especially considering the beating she takes from other posters here.

 

If my wife who, unlike all of you, is actually well on her way to becoming a clinical psychologist is wrong, I'll gleefully eat my words publicly along with Achilles. Thing is, when I question whether someone is actually suffering from AS or just playing for the lulz, I'm going to trust what my wife says over what a poster that I've suspected for a couple years now of trolling has to say in her defense.

 

Maybe MJF has a very unique and rare form of AS, and not the common form that most people have.

 

She could have some of the common symptoms that others have, but she also has other, more rare symptoms that are not found but in the rarest of rare people with AS.

 

Just a rare type of AS, that very few have.

 

Or maybe, just maybe, she was misdiagnosed.
