The side effects of free agency and player trades
|
Quote:Even though Julius Peppers will be entering his 14th season in 2015, he's coming off a strong season. IMO, Peppers was the most impactful defensive player on the Packers in the 2014 season. Even more so than Clay Matthews, which is saying something. Unless/until proven otherwise, I expect Peppers to remain with the Packers for at least one more season. I hope I'm wrong. Clay Matthews played inside a lot after playing outside exclusively his entire career. I am sure that had something to do with it. The fact that Julius Peppers had a great season last year is why I said all Jaguars fans would love it if Green Bay cut him. Of course I expect the Packers to restructure his contract to keep their best free agents. |
