How we become an Unstoppable Offensive Juggernaut

#16

Quote:I think the Jags would be better off drafting a RB in Rd 2 than signing C.J. Spiller. Spiller was misused by the Bills last year and so he may be reluctant to come to an offense that has Nate Hackett involved in the game plan. Besides, the rumor mill says that he wants to reunite with Chan Galley with the Jets.

The Jags have a lot of Free Agent Cap space but they still need to address the LB position and they either do that in Free Agency by signing someone like Bruce Carter of the Cowboys, a sub 4.5 Strongside LB (Otto) or taking a LB in Rd 2, either Paul Dawson, Eric Kendrick or Denzel Perryman. There may be other LBs available in Rd 2.

I like Tevin Coleman over Spiller.

Denard Robinson is very similar to C.J. Spiller in that neither should be the workhorse RB.

I disagree. I wouldn't mind Todd Gurley with the 36th overall selection if he's there. However, as much as I love the kid. Afterall, I am a Bulldogs fan. I don't see the point in gambling there on him when he's oft injured. I say if we can sign CJ Spiller, you go for it. I think with the 3rd overall pick we will more than likely go defense but I am hoping for Amari Cooper instead. I think that kid is going to be great at the next level. I really do. And with Shorts more than likely leaving we only have three 2nd year receivers returning with some questions. Robinson is bouncing back from IR, Hurns was decent throughout the year but his hands are still a concern and was he only respectable because he knew Fisch's offense? Lee came on late. He flashed. Just late. So adding a guy like Cooper still gives the team competition and a playmaker on the outside. Which leaves me to RD2. In RD2, you double dip on offense again and you give Bortles a receiving threat at tight-end. I believe Maxx Williams will be there for us in the 2nd RD. I'll even throw in this option. Why not get a runningback in RD3 instead like Duke Johnson or Jeremy Langford?

Backfield in 2015:

CJ Spiller OR Duke Johnson/Jeremy Langford

Denard Robinson

Toby Gerhart

Receiving Core in 2015:

Amari Cooper

Allen Robinson

Allen Hurns

Marqise Lee

Tight-ends in 2015:

Maxx Williams

Marcedes Lewis
