Bald eagle lays egg, becomes Internet sensation

We had an eagle cam overlooking a nest at Jordan Lake for several years. Last year 2 eaglets were born and people could watch the activities. Well, we got a tremendous amount of rain that compromised the nest and the eaglets slid to their deaths. It was determined that the parents won't be using the nest again so now they have a general camera to watch the birds there.
It was pretty neat to watch the parents bring in food and feed the eaglets. I was genuinely sad when the little ones perished. It was sad to watch. |
