ESPN Reporter Mike Sando says this about Jags Trading Down
|
If a team were to seriously offer you all 7 of their draft picks to move from 20 to 3 in the 1st round, you absolutely would take it. You gain 6 extra picks just to move back 17 spots for 1 pick, hell yeah. Even just ignoring all the flexibility that would give us to create trades to move up to get guys we really like in other rounds, just by keeping all the picks, we would have 13 picks.
I don't see any situation in which a team would trade their entire draft away to get one guy, but if this happened I would be running around screaming like a little girl. Who cares if we drop 17 spots in the 1st round, we could still get an impact player and then get a lot more with the extra picks. |
