I don't disagree with any of this, but if you're going to overspend, do it for the right guy. Clay is, imo, a safer prospect than Thomas, and one who's a better fit for most NFL offenses. I don't hate Julius Thomas, and you wouldn't see me inciting any riots if he were the pick, but I can tell you that up this way, lots of Bronco fans are of the opinion that Demaryius Thomas must be resigned at any cost, and Julius Thomas can easily be replaced if he leaves town.
