Lets DEAD this "Jags to London" or any team for that matter once and for all!

 

If you really think about the proposition carefully, you easily see how we are at least two decades away from that possibility.

 

1. How successful would the NFL be in a market that isn't 50 years deep in the love of American Football? The NFL over there would probably be similar to Soccer over here...an after thought. Sure fans show up for 1 or 2 games a year as an alternative to the norm, but would they be willing to buy season tickets year after year?

 

2. They asked a few Jaguar players concerning and the even the players were of the mindset that it may be nice to visit for a game per year, but to be based over there......NO WAY! Blackmon went as far as to ask would his entire family be moved over there with him.

 

So you would have a team in Europe that couldn't sign any free agents and would be the butt hole of the NFL for like....for ever.

 

3. The culture in other countries is different. The SECURITY is different. Terrorism risk would probably at least double for an American team playing over there. IT's one thing to plot a terrorist attack against Americans on American soil but it becomes a whole lot easier in Europe!

 

Also, in some other countries, losing is taken a lot more serious than here. With referees or players being followed home, beaten and even killed. Is the American people, NFL and players ready to deal with this cultural difference?

 

We are at least 20 years from a team being permanently placed in Europe.
