What you mentioned is indeed the Lions focus.   Whether a contract agreement with Ndamukong Suh will be reached by March 2 and if not whether the Franchise Tag will be used,  remains to be seen.   I think there's a good chance that Suh remains with the Lions and Nick Fairley is playing elsewhere in 2015 but it remains to be seen.

 

Regarding Nick Fairley,  I think it probably will be in his best interest to sign a 1 or 2 year contract with a team.   With the hope of increasing his market value by finally remaining relatively healthy for an entire season and displaying the type of consistency over the course of a whole season that he finally showed over the course of a half a season ( before the season ending knee injury vs.  the Falcons in London ).    What helps Suh's market value greatly is he's been as durable as any player in the NFL in his first 5 seasons.
