Quote:I apologize for calling you a stupid fan... that was uncalled for. Just because you have an apparent 'man crush' on Blackmon doesn't justify me questioning your intelligence. But for the record lets be clear about something; no reasonable person would expect Blackmon to come back and be the kind of impact player he had been drafted to be at this point. It would be awesome if he did... but the probability is not in favor of it. That's why more than one sports writer is puzzled by jags fans who are enthralled by him.

He did pretty good during the very short time he played for us; but, he would have to play at a high level like that for a long time before he would deserve to even be used in the same sentence with Fred Taylor or Jimmy Smith.

Can he come back? Yes; we hope he will get away from and stay away from the things that got him in trouble in the first place. Will he be an impact player? It's possible... but not probable at this point. That's why Dave drafted the receivers he did; the team has moved on and isn't counting on him. So should the rest of the Jaguars fans. The odes for his life is on him; not the team, not the fans.
Thank you for the apology, didn't take it personally but still appreciate the apology. I apologise also as I was brash with my original statement.

However I do not expect him to come back at the same level, I expect him to come back at a good level, even if not why would be better off by trading him? Do you not expect him to come back at a higher level than doss or sanders? Because if he does he makes the team better by depth.

I have a good feeling an instincts that he could come back good! It may be blind ignorance and faith but only time will tell.

I am definitely optimistic for his return, think of him like a draft pick, there's no guarantee he will be good but all you can base your theory on is previous experience.

I do feel he has turned a corner personally, I hope at least.
