Overdue to be quite honest. He's been a major dissapointment in the passing game since his most productive season. I can't say it's all on him. Pass protection has been an issue over the past few years. He's developed into a better blocker if anything. But he's not nearly as dynamic as we had hoped for when we took him out of the UCLA. He's made a good living here. I think his time is up. I could see him getting released and picked-up in no time by a team like New England, Seattle, or San Francisco who have tendencies to keep decent players around at that position.

 

As far as an upgrade? Depends on what you're looking for in your offense and at that position. Does Olson want a receiving threat or blocker? Or does he want a happy-medium? I don't see any Graham's or Gronkowski's in this year's draft but I do see some Heath Miller's and Dwayne Allens' though.
