  Unfortunately as we have seen countless times,  effort is often not enough to recapture the success of the past.   This is true with all positions in the NFL but it seems to happen earlier with RBs.

 

  Of the RB's you listed,   a case can be made that Reggie Bush can offer more at this point of his career than the others can when he's relatively enough.   It's not saying much.  Yet,  it still gets back to the durability factor.    Bush is at or near the bottom of the totem pole in that very important category.
