To seat belt or not to seat belt?

Yes, there should be seat belt laws.
Children really aren't in a position to make an informed decision to wear a seat belt or not. It's up to their parents if they wear one. If the parent is required to wear a seat belt, it'll encourage the children to wear theirs too. Personally I won't pull out of the driveway until I know all of my passengers are buckled up. Be they my wife, my kids, or a friend. It sets a good example for my children.
