Congrats on the Bengals win over the Lions. It was indeed an exciting game. The combined show that Calvin Johnson and A.J. Green put on 11 days ago was one of the best I've seen from 2 WR's in the same game. In another thread, I expressed the opinion that A.J. Green is now the 2nd best WR in the NFL. Both WR's are class acts and have the same trainer. I thought the difference in the game was two Special Teams plays ( blocked FG by Carlos Dunlap and short punt by Sam Martin that set up the game winning 54 yard FG ) and the Bengals getting more pressure on Matthew Stafford than the Lions did on Andy Dalton. While the Bengals didn't record a sack that afternoon, Michael Johnson and Carlos Dunlap made their presence felt more so than any pair of Defensive Line have against the Lions in the first half of the season.


I'm very impressed by the Bengals, both from a personnel standpoint and a coaching standpoint. Marvin Lewis has excellent coordinators and top flight line coaches. The Bengals Offensive and Defensive Line are elite. Probably the only glaring issue that I noticed with the Bengals is they need to find someone who can cover highly skilled RB's out of the backfield like Reggie Bush. Otherwise, when Andy Dalton is playing well, this team clearly is Super Bowl caliber.
