Productive players like Suh rarely hit free agency, so when they do, it's not going to be a cheap prospect if you want to sign them.  I get the concern if you're the one stroking that check.  You're not.  If you pay him to be one of the higher compensated defensive linemen in the league, the expectation is that you'll get the production in return.  There's nothing to indicate that won't be the case with Suh.  He's still young, and essentially in his prime.  Considering what Williams did after commanding his payday, I'd say it's money well spent if we wind up in the same boat with a guy like Suh.
