Everyone talks about how historically, spending a lot in free agency rarely works out. There's a lot of times when people overpay for nothing or average at best production.

The difference is that almost never does a player like Suh actually hit free agency. He is on a strong trajectory towards being a hall of famer. Those players are rarely available.


He's been productive, durable, and is in his prime. We need to call his agent and basically say"whatever you get from another team, we will beat it significantly" and get him here.
