His 2015 salary at 12.5 Mil is high, but his other years are reasonable and we are talking about 22 sacks in the past two years.

 

Think Jerry Hughes, but plays the SLB (Otto) for the Saints.

 

The Saints are looking to reduce their cap hit and so this is a limited time offer.

 

On Tuesday the Saints will be under the cap and either Gallette is cut or has had his contract reworked.
 

What are you opinions of him as a player. Would he be a significant upgrade?  It sounds like it from the number of sacks he's compiled. It would allow us more freedom in the draft of not having to sign a LB early. If we can move JT to middle linebacker, Telvin on the week side and Galette on the strong/otto, would appear to sound pretty promising. Young, strong group. I like JT and think he'll be good as a Poz replacement.
