This team doesn't need another aging defensive lineman. If they go after someone in free agency, it's going to be someone with more than a year or two left in the tank.
I'm not even sure if Wilfork would be a good fit for this defense. As far as McCourty is concerned, I think the Pats are pretty much resigned to letting him test the market, and he has indicated he'd like to do so. He also said he'd like to return to the Pats, but it sounds like the only way that would be a possibility is if they have a strong offer on the table that makes it worth his while. His momma said so. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
