Alualu knew he likely wasn't getting 4.25 mil guaranteed on the open market. He wouldn't have opted out unless he knew the jags were going to take care of him.
 

 

Hmm... So you're saying Caldwell told him to opt out saying he'd work it out.


 

This makes sense. I'm getting over the initial sticker shock.
